2017 Hess Allomi Cabernet Sauvignon - Winemaker Notes On the nose, this wine delivers delicious aromas of blackberry, boysenberry and elegant expressions of lavender alongside a touch of vanilla. Allomi Cabernet is concentrated upon entry with dense, but well-integrated tannins that provide a round, plush mouthfeel. Layers of juicy black fruit, notably black plum and black cherry lead to elements of bittersweet chocolate supported by a subtle oak spice that adds to the personality of the wine, $30.99.

2017 Skyside Cabernet Sauvignon – North Coast – Rated 90 points Tasting Panel Publishers Pick. Made by winemaker Anne Depsey, this new brand from Moet Hennessy Estates & Wines originally hails from the Newton Vineyard estate. Blended with 15% Merlot, 6% Syrah, and 3% Petite Sirah from five counties across the North Coast, it displays dry tannins and Old-World acidity. It’s earthy, with notes of graphite, violets, plum, soy sauce, and clove, $16.99.

2017 Talbott Kali Hart Chardonnay – Rated 92 points James Suckling Aromas of toffee, dark apples and dried pineapple. Full to medium body with fresh and clean flavors and a resilient and bright finish. Dense yet fresh mouthfeel, $17.99.

2015 Raiza Tempranillo – Rated 90 points Wine Enthusiast This wine is carried by aromas of earth, spice, cherry and plum. For a crianza, this is a serious medium-bodied wine. Spicy dark-berry flavors come with a touch of cocoa prior to the lasting finish, with leftover spice notes and slow-fading fruit. Drink through 2019, was $18.99, now $9.99.

2016 Seaside Pinot Noir - Staff Comments: Another Miss Sheila treasure from Hawke’s Bay, New Zealand! Essence of black raspberries and ripened strawberries. New World wine drinkers will love this and the price! Logan berries, cinnamon, white pepper, blueberries, and red currants. Smooth and soft! Have this with chicken salad sandwiches, poached pears, or Swiss fondue. An Argonaut Select Product, was $16.99, now $9.99.

2018 Fog Mountain Merlot - Staff Comments: A new wine to Argonaut that is drinking quite nicely! Bing cherries and a subtle lavender nose. This is a “pretty Merlot.” Very soft, fruit forward with generous amounts of rich blackberries, plums, strawberries, and toasty oak. Serve this with a chimichurri skirt steak, blackened halibut or charcuterie, was $19.99, now $8.99.

2018 Arco Iris Rainbow Tempranillo – Staff Comments: This 1 Liter bottle hails from Spain. Smoked cherries and dark chocolate on the nose. Medium bodied and lush. The tannins are soft and young. Blueberry compote, caramel, spiced plums, and tart Michigan cherries round this out nicely. Serve this a seafood paella, carne asada enchiladas, or Aged Pepper Jack Cheese, was $14.99, now $7.99.

Barcino Belle Epoque Cava Brut – Rated 90 points Wine Advocate. This sensational non-vintage Barcino Cava was made from a solera system where the dosage was started in the 1940s. A blend of 55% Xarello, 25% Macabeo and 20% Parellada, from vines planted in 1995, this crisp, delicious, dry sparkler spent 12 months on its lees. Attractive notes of honeyed brioche, poached pear and caramelized grapefruit jump from the glass of this zesty, light-bodied, exceptionally well-crafted, pure, fresh cava. Enjoy it over the next year, was $17.99, now $12.99.

2018 Cupcake Rose - Rated 89 points Wine Enthusiast. This medium-bodied wine overflows with snappy grapefruit and peach flavors on a base of good, crisp acidity that makes it extra lively on the palate, $9.99.

2016 Maison William Chase Rose Staff Comments: A beautiful blend of Grenache, Syrah, and Cinsault. This became a staff favorite! Dry & refreshing with fresh strawberries on the nose. Medium bodied and inviting with pomegranates, honeysuckle, golden cherries, and gala apples. Crisp and clean! Serve this with spicy fish tacos, pumpkin ravioli, or green chili cheddar cheese.
